Only One Angel
Annaloes Douglas was a Design Studies student who ‘got lucky.’ As part of a 1999 Special Topic course, she was selected to design the new UOP logo. After a brief from Wendy Harrex and Fiona Moffat, which included the choice of the Optima font, and typographical advice from Larry Matthews, the quill and ‘hills and water’ logo was created. It now sits on the spine and title-pages of every new title. Annaloes also designed books for the Press, of which Only One Angel is a sample.
