Medical Forum | An unexpected detour: Earthquake-related research

Jenny Jordan is a senior research fellow and clinical psychologist in the Clinical Research Unit at the Department of Psychological Medicine, University of Otago, Christchurch.

Her primary research focus has been on comparative psychotherapy trials for significant mental health problems, until the Canterbury earthquakes…

She will provide a brief overview of research into psychological impacts of the earthquakes undertaken at the Department of Psychological Medicine and will illustrate the novel application of metacognitive therapy for earthquake-related post-traumatic stress.
