Research

Richard is a Research Fellow in the Department of Physiology.

My research focuses on the regulation of the hypothalamic neuronal circuits that control fertility. We are particularly interested in a population of neurons that produce the neuropeptide kisspeptin and in their regulation by the central circadian clock. Techniques employed include patch-clamp electrophysiology, live cell imaging and circuit mapping.
