ANZAMEMS* is pleased to announce a Postgraduate Advanced Training Seminar on the theme
Editing Medieval and Early Modern Texts: Principles and Practice
The editing of texts from the medieval and early modern periods is a complex and demanding task. Surprisingly there are very few resources available that provide guidance as to how to describe, transcribe and fully edit materials from these periods. This workshop will bring together leading experts in text editing in order to share their skills and experience with postgraduate students and early career researchers.
The expert instructors are:
Prof. Eva Schlotheuber, University of Münster: Medieval Latin and German texts
Prof. Michael Hunter, Birkbeck College, London: Early Modern texts
Dr Greg Waite, University of Otago: Old and Middle English texts
Bursaries will be available to suitably qualified applicants from Australasia.
The workshop will be held after the biennial ANZAMEMS conference at the University of Otago on the 7–8 February 2011.
