A seminar- and practical-based paper that looks in detail at design
issues when working with digital media.
Objectives
- Develop understanding and skills in the areas of
multimedia interface design, digital sound and video, and multimedia
authoring.
- Develop a framework for understanding the theory
and technology of multimedia systems and their application to
real world problems.
- Examine the difference between linear and non-linear
interactive content.
- Learn how to work within an interdisciplinary
group; to plan and manage a multimedia project and test a prototype.
- Challenge the prevailing assumptions and attitudes
that underlie the design of much of the work currently being produced
by the multimedia industry.
