Paul

Paul Donovan – Teaching Fellow, PGDipNHFC

  • Co-ordinator for the Filming part of NHFC 401

Paul has been a camera operator for over 30 years. He began as a news cameraman for Television New Zealand back in the days when it was the NZBC or the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation. He was an early addition to the Natural History Unit and subsequently NHNZ, where he carved out a reputation as a camera operator with a great eye for lighting and detail.

He's worked all over the world on many award-winning documentaries and we are extremely pleased to have him as part of the teaching staff for the diploma.

Paul is also an experienced teacher at tertiary level, teaching both still photography and filmmaking at polytechnics in Otago and Southland.

Currently Paul works as a freelance cameraman and tertiary teacher.
