I'm a PhD student who is looking for a responsible flatmate for a gorgeous and completely detached house. It has a front lawn that faces the Botanic Garden forest and a large backyard full of trees. No neighbours in the front, nor in the back. It’s on Opoho Road, near Gardens New World and a lovely walk to University through the Botanic Garden. The back faces the North, with no obstructions. The rent includes power, internet and gardening. It is fully furnished: bed, desk, room heater, lounge heat pump, lounge suite, fridge, oven, microwave, dining table, washing machine and some other smaller appliances and dishware. On-street parking. Lease from only 44 weeks (preference for the whole year). Four weeks bond. Current occupants consist of myself (ITprofessional in late thirties) and two cats, so ideally you would tolerate, if not like, cats. The house is warm with a fireplace that puts out good heat. There is a large amount of firewood ready for next winter. Plans are in place to put a heat transfer unit in before next winter. The bedroom has in-built wardrobe space. The house has lots of extra storage space, including an internally accessible basement-garage and an external double garage that has room for your car. Living areas and kitchen are furunished, so only your bedroom furniture is required. Green Island shopping centre including supermarket, takeaways, pharmacy etc is close by.
