About the only thing those profiled in the latest edition of the Otago Post email newsletter have in common is their decision to study for a coursework postgraduate degree.

Otherwise, they are an eclectic group, ranging from a television producer looking at celebrity branding, a former police officer working in Timor-Leste, and two documentary film makers to a public health professional promoting Māori public health.

A new Master’s degree which allows any graduate to change direction and become a nurse is highlighted – the Masters of Nursing Science is subject to approval but expected to begin in Christchurch next year.

There is also a thoughtful foreword from Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Peter Crampton, of the Division of Health Sciences.

The Otago Post is a thrice-yearly email newsletter promoting postgraduate study at Otago.
