Research Interests and Background

Dr Bryant-Tokalau's current research is on poverty and environmental governance in the Pacific; Urban housing and poverty in the Pacific; Urban environmental degradation in the Pacific. Currently working on film project on Making Poverty History; global poverty strategies and their appropriateness to the Pacific as well as on the role of the Fijian Qoliqoli legislation and the urban poor.

Dr Bryant-Tokalau was formerly at the University of South Pacific in Fiji. She has also worked at the University of Papua New Guinea, Monash University and the United Nations Development Program in Fiji.
