Professional Practice Fellow - Educational Technology/Instructional Design-1701491 [HR Link]

The School of Pharmacy and the Department of Women’s & Children’s Health (WCH), have an opportunity for an outstanding individual with expert knowledge of tertiary education methods and eLearning, preferably in a health related field, to join our teams as a fixed-term Professional Practice Fellow in Educational Technology / Instructional Design.

The Role
This position presents a unique opportunity to take ownership for providing support to teaching and learning developments in the BPharm programme and Postgraduate taught programmes in the School of Pharmacy, as well as the teaching programmes in the Department of Women’s & Children’s Health.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and developing the quality and efficiency of teaching and learning processes and assessments in the WCH MBChB programme, the BPharm, and both Postgraduate Professional Programmes. You will provide leadership and support for Distance Learning. In particular, you will help lead developments in movement from face-to-face learning to learning in experiential placements.

Your Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will:
• have a degree in eLearning, Computer Science, or a related educational background;
• have significant experience with Learning Management Systems and delivery;
• have experience in designing, managing, and providing support for courses developed using Moodle/Blackboard/SharePoint;
• have strong organisational skills; and
• be able to strike an appropriate balance between utilising your excellent leadership skills along with your ability and willingness to provide hands on, practical support to staff.

An ability to form positive and productive collaborations will also be vital to your success in this role.

Further Information
This is a full-time, fixed-term position for one year (0.6FTE Pharmacy / 0.4FTE WCH). Applications from candidates interested in either the 0.6FTE or 0.4FTE will also be considered.
