Scholarships for postgraduate programmes

Māori Pharmacists' Association Scholarships

Eligibility

Open to ordinary members of The Māori Pharmacists' Association.

Details

The School of Pharmacy supports Māori education in the field of pharmacy. The School offers two fees-only scholarships in any one academic year, for students enrolling in the Postgraduate Certificate in Pharmacy (endorsed in Medicines Management). The Postgraduate Certificate comprises two papers:

  • PHCY 541 Medicines Information
  • PHCY 542 Medicines Management

Scholarship awards will be made by an adjudicating panel comprising members of the School of Pharmacy and the Māori Pharmacists' Association.

A call for applications will be made each September for the following year, and again in May for the second semester (if scholarships are still available).

Applicants may choose to enrol in one or both papers per application. Should an applicant apply for only one paper, the applicant would be required to apply again on a second application round for a Scholarship for the next paper.

An applicant can apply for the Scholarship only once per paper.

Complete the Māori Pharmacists' Association Scholarship Application Form (PDF 120 KB) and submit it, together with a copy of your academic transcript, to the Postgraduate Administrator:

Scholarship for Community Pharmacists

Eligibility

Open to practising pharmacists in the primary care environment.

Details

The School of Pharmacy supports education in the field of Primary Care Pharmacy.

The School offers one fees-only scholarship in any one academic year, for a student wishing to enrol in the Postgraduate Certificate in Pharmacy (endorsed in Medicines Management), to complete the PHCY 541 Medicines Information paper.

Scholarship awards will be made by an adjudicating panel comprising members of the School Postgraduate Professional Programmes Committee.

A call for applications will be made in September for the following year. Applicants can only apply once for the Scholarship.

University of Otago Master in Clinical Pharmacy (MClinPharm) Scholarships

The University of Otago offers the opportunity for persons wishing to pursue a Master by papers to apply for a scholarship during the University's annual scholarship round in October / November.
