Andrew Pauling's latest research - supervised by Dr Inga Simth, Professor Pat Langhorne and Professor Cecilia Bitz (Washington) - is selected into the Editor's highlight in Geophysical Research Letters (25 October 2017) which is one of the most prestigious journals in geophysics. Andrew et al. analysed why Earth System Models do not reproduce the observed increase in Antarctic sea ice extent. Their results suggest that the increase in the rate of change of freshwater input to the Southern Ocean may be important.
Congratulations to the entire group!
