Energy Studies

Welcome to the Energy Studies programme. Global resource depletion, concern about the environment and new renewable energy technologies are creating fundamental changes in the way energy is produced and used in society and the economy. This programme provides students with the knowledge and skills to contribute to these rapidly changing and crucially important developments in New Zealand and internationally.

Our programme offers several degree courses including a Bachelor of Science in Energy Studies, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Energy Management, and postgraduate qualifications including an honours degree in Applied Science. Please explore the site to find out more.

Undergraduate Degrees

We offer two undergraduate degrees in the field of Energy: a Bachelor of Science degree in Energy Studies and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Energy Management. The BSc in Energy Studies is a three-year programme. The BAppSc in Energy Management is a three-year programme with a compulsory minor.
