Lottery health research grant success for CHARR researchers, 2015

Thursday, 23 April 2015

Congratulations to our School’s CHARR researchers who have achieved Lottery Health funding this week. Four of our Centre’s researchers have been awarded funding (projects below). We are planning a celebration for these successes in a couple of weeks’ time.

Funded projects:

Prasath Jayakaran - Identification of persons with early signs of hip and knee osteoarthritis and the effect of intervention

Ram Mani - Longitudinal investigation of sedentary behaviour patterns and its predictors among New Zealanders with high risk of developing chronic diseases.

Meredith Perry - Incidence and prevalence of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries in female netball players in New Zealand and identification of factors in which they occur

Daniel Ribeiro - The effectiveness of a feedback device in changing occupational postural behaviour: a randomized controlled trial

This is a significant achievement both for the individuals concerned and for CHARR and the School; well done!
