Acupuncture postgraduate options


Opportunities are available for students to complete any or all of the following qualifications endorsed in Acupuncture, i.e. enrolment in Certificate, Diploma then Masters, or directly into the Masters.

Please note that a B grade average or above is required in the first four papers for students to progress to the Masters level papers.

The following programmes are undertaken via distance learning. The line of study below is part time, for full time options please contact the Academic Administrator:

Please note that the Postgraduate Diploma and Master of Physiotherapy (Acupuncture) will no longer be available from 2018.

Postgraduate Certificate in Physiotherapy (Acupuncture)

PHTY 501 Biomedical Science in Physiotherapy (Semester 1)
PHTY 548 Introduction to Musculoskeletal Acupuncture (Semester 2) [Paper not available 2017]

Postgraduate Diploma in Physiotherapy (Acupuncture)

Upon successful completion of the Postgraduate Certificate students can progress to the Postgraduate Diploma in Physiotherapy

PHTY 543 Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy (Semester 1)
PHTY 530 Theoretical Constructs in Clinical Practice (Semester 2)

Master of Physiotherapy (Acupuncture)

Upon successful completion of the Postgraduate Diploma, with a B grade average or above, students can progress to the Master of Physiotherapy (Acupuncture)
