Dianne Bardsley grew up in post-war Wairarapa. A teacher of English for twenty years, Dianne is now Director of the New Zealand Dictionary Centre within the School of Linguistics and Applied Languages at Victoria University. She also teaches New Zealand English in the Linguistics programme at Victoria University.
