Nanyan Guo

Nanyan Guo is a senior lecturer in Japanese at the University of Otago, specialising in Japanese modern literature. Her research interests also include environmental issues, regional identities in Japan, and comparative literature of Japan and China.

She is co-author of  Tsugaru: Regional Identity on Japan's Northern Periphery (Otago University Press, 2005). She also co-edited the Japanese version of this book with Kanako Kitahara: Tsugaru no rekishi to bunka o shiru (Iwata shoin, 2004).
