Childrenz Issues

Childrenz Issues is now published by the Children's Issues Centre. It focuses on matters to do with children and the context within which they live, learn and play.

It is aimed at an interdisciplinary audience and will be of interest to all people working with children and their families. These include teachers, early childhood centre staff, social workers, lawyers, judges, health professionals, psychologists, counsellors, lecturers, family support workers, staff working in government, voluntary, cultural and community agencies, policy-makers, researchers, academics and parents.

Childrenz Issues is published in February and September each year.

Children's Issues Centre

CICThe Centre's research is focused on supporting the well-being, healthy development and participation of children/young people in society, and studying children's perspectives on their lives, from ecological, sociology of childhood, and sociocultural perspectives.

Recent and current research projects cover transition to school, state care, quality childcare, the role of Counsel for the Child, children and divorce/separation, family judgments, children's rights in school, and children in rural and urban spaces.
