How is Campus Watch organised?
5 teams on the street around the clock
Campus Watch is organised into 5 teams who work a set roster which enables the Proctor’s Office to have sufficient staff on the street 24/7 to cover the busier times of the year.
Outside the academic year (over summer) numbers are reduced by 10 team members.
Team organisation
Each team consists of:
- Team Leader
- Controller who monitors CCTV radio and telephone messages
- 6 people patrolling the student area
Busy nights
Due to shift overlaps on the busier nights there can be up to 14 Campus Watch staff on the street.
On these nights they also run the Safety Patrol and are available to conduct a “walk-home”.
