To assist with the transition of returning to work and to enable timely travel between home and the workplace the University provides parking for new parents returning to work after parental leave.

Up to three car parks across the Dunedin campus are reserved for new parent use at any given time and where possible the parks will be covered. New parent parks are allocated for a minimum three-month and a maximum one-year period and are charged at the uncovered parking rate (even if they are covered). The number of new parent parks available and the length of any new parent park allocation are subject to demand as per the University of Otago Parking Policy.

How to apply

To apply for a new parent car park, please download and complete the Parking application form and return it to the Parking Administrator by email or internal mail.
