Philippa Youard is a registered clinical psychologist currently supervising clinical psychology trainees at the 501 level in the department’s Clinical Psychology Centre. She completed her MSc and Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology at Otago in 1981 and has worked in a variety of settings including Student Health, Family Planning, Drug Dependency services, Cherry Farm Hospital, the Donald Beasley Institute and in private practice as a consultant in the field of Intellectual Disability. Philippa joined the department in 1993. She has an ongoing clinical interest in the areas of disability, eldercare, the needs of new immigrants, and the teaching of clinical skills.
