Academic staff of the Department have broad international experience in their training, research collaboration, and publications. Postgraduate students in general, and those from overseas in particular, will benefit from and in turn contribute to the international flavour of the Department.

Prospective students who are not New Zealand or Australian citizens or permanent residents should contact the International Office at the University of Otago for information about immigration, tuition fees and scholarships.

Study permits
Students who are not New Zealand citizens, permanent New Zealand residents, or Australian citizens or residents, must have a valid student permit before enrolment in a degree is finalised.
Overseas students should contact the Immigration New Zealand or the New Zealand Embassy or High Commission in their country for information about a study permit.
