DISCOVER SCUBA - "Try a Scuba Dive"

INTRODUCTION

Ever wanted to try out this sport? It feels a bit strange at first, but as you ease into the water and you slip below the surface and breathe, you can hear the reassuring hiss of air and the door to a different world opens.

This is an introductory session held in the warm training pool at Dive Otago. It gives you the thrill of breathing underwater and experiencing the weightlessness of scuba in a controlled environment.

During the pool session you will learn how to breathe on a regulator, mask clearing, regulator recovery, using an alternative air source and neutral buoyancy swimming.

This is not a certification course, but will give you some good experience if you wish to do further dive courses.

MEDICAL HISTORY QUESTIONNAIRE - you are required to complete a PADI medical History Questionnaire form prior to diving. Any Health/Medical issues may require you to get medical clearance from a GP. If you have any questions about this please contact us. It will be reviewed again on the day of the course.
