Friday
Meet at the Unipol Recreation Centre at 4.00pm and drive to Pinewood Lodge, Queenstown where you'll stay for the weekend in bunkroom accommodation. Dinner will be takeaways en route or bring your own food from home.
Saturday
Up, have breakfast and be ready to head off for a days climbing at various sites around the Queenstown region. Lunch is at a spot of your choice. Saturday night is spent talking about the challenges of the day.
Sunday
Spend the second day checking out more climbing sites and extending the skills you have learned. Again, find a lunch spot of your choice before heading to another climbing spot to finish the weekend. Then back to Dunedin, either having some food before leaving or stopping off for dinner en route and arriving around 8.00pm.
PLEASE NOTE: Weather conditions determine final climbing itinerary and is determined by the guides with group safety paramount!!!
Transport, bunkroom accommodation on Friday/Saturday night, breakfast, lunch and dinner Saturday. Sunday breakfast and lunch.
All climbing equipment, climbing walls fees, DOC concessions, instruction.
It is expected that the group will work together to prepare meals, do dishes and give general assistance over the weekend.
You will be camping and carrying any gear with you so please pack conservatively.
Clothing and Climbing gear - You will need to bring comfortable clothing to climb in. Bring warm clothing to change into for camping at night (a warm long sleeved top and leggings are recommended). Please be prepared for all possible weather conditions for this trip e.g.: sun, snow, wind, rain and hail.
WE WILL HAVE A GEAR LIST AT THE PRE TRIP MEETING
Food - Money for meals on Friday and Sunday nights & refreshments, snacks for Saturday and Sunday (e.g. dried fruit, scroggin, energy bars, chocolate etc).
General - water-resistant sunblock, insect repellent, sunglasses, towel, sleeping bag, headlamp/torch, plate, mug, cutlery, personal medication and first aid supplies, toiletries (minimum required), camera or waterproof disposable camera, water bottle. Please feel free to bring CDs for the van.

There will be a pre-trip meeting for ALL participants on WEDNESDAY 19 SEPTEMBER, 5.00pm, at the Unipol Recreation Centre. We'll go over the itinerary, discuss the gear requirements, food requirements and weekend menus, and give you the opportunity to meet other participants.
We also offer other Rockclimbing and Sea Kayaking activities during the semester. For more information, collect some brochures from the Recreation Centre.
