Sea Kayaking - Taiaroa Heads
INTRODUCTION
This unique paddling experience takes in the attractions and wildlife of the beautiful Taiaroa Heads on the Otago Harbour. No prior kayaking experience is required. We will drive to Wellers rock before jumping in a kayak and heading off to the Pilots Beach and Taiaroa Heads area. Have a look at the old gun emplacements, seal colonies and other wildlife in the area before paddling back to the van and heading for home.
WHAT IS PROVIDED & WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
All kayaking equipment, transport and instruction is provided.
Please bring a windjacket, warm clothes, polypropylene clothing, sunblock, sunhat and sunglasses, camera in plastic bag (waterproof disposable cameras are good), old sandshoes, woollen socks or wetsuit booties. Bring a towel and a change of warm clothing for after you get off the water. Please feel free to bring a snack if you wish.
We have wetsuit booties for hire if required - please make a booking when you enrol for the activity. Alternatively bring an old pair of sandshoes or woollen socks you don't mind getting sandy and wet.

* In the event of bad weather, the trips will be held THE FOLLOWING WEEK at the same times. Please ensure you are also available for this date before you enrol as withdrawals may not be considered if you can’t make the alternate date.
