Sign Language

INTRODUCTION

This fun and interactive 10-week course in basic sign language will give you the skills and confidence to communicate with people who are Deaf. Find out what is meant by Deaf Culture and how to work effectively and appropriately with a sign language interpreter.

At the completion of the course, participants should be able to carry out a basic conversation in sign language. All participants will receive a certificate of attendance and a NZ Sign Language Handbook.

Tea and coffee will be provided. Please bring a pen and paper.
