This course is designed to assist students develop critical analytical skills in order to understand the main interpersonal theories used in social work practice, and be able to apply those theories to explain behavior and develop social work assessments.  Students will look at the ethical tensions inherent in social work practices with children, young people and families in a range of settings, and will learn the statutory and non-statutory contexts of social work practice.
