Healthy Lifestyle programmes - help improve your quality of life, with support and guidance from the nurses at Student Health Services.
- If you need advice on how to control your asthma symptoms, then we can help you.
- Together with you, we will work out what will work if you want to make better choices in the flatting or hall environment, maintain a healthy weight range or find an exercise menu that you enjoy
- If you want to stop smoking or make changes to the amount you are drinking, then we can help you.
Please phone the reception team on 479 8212 and ask to book a Healthy Lifestyle appointment with one of our nurses.
These appointments are for 30 minutes and there is no charge for New Zealand citizens. You can have up to 5 free Healthy Lifestyle/Asthma review appointments per year. (International students will be charged a $10 fee for the appointment).
Nurses can refer to a dietician or exercise physiotherapist as needed, depending on what you are hoping to achieve, and again there is no charge for this service.
