Special courses and Danish course

Aarhus Each semester a few special courses are offered to exchange students only, for example: Aspects of Denmark as well as a crash course of the Danish language. During the summer, Aarhus University offers a Danish language and culture course, called Destination DK, to all international students in Aarhus. The course takes place prior to the beginning of the semester and there is a nominal fee of 500 DKK for participation.

It is also possible to enrol in a Danish language course during the spring semester. The courses available during the spring semester are off campus courses arranged by the language centre Lærdansk.

One semester of full-time study amounts to 30 ECTS credits.

Accommodation & the Cost of Living

Accommodation

Exchange students are automatically signed up for the housing programme when they have filled in the On-line registration form before the deadline.

Estimated Cost of Living

Exchange students must have sufficient funds to cover their living expenses while studying in Denmark.

The University, City & Region

The University

AarhusAarhus School of Business is an internationally oriented university which offers a wide range of study programmes in business and communication taught in English. ASB offers excellent and highly organised student services including the Introduction Programme.

The Introduction Programme will introduce you to the university, the IT facilities and services and inform you about courses, exams, academic deadlines, etc. You will also be guided through practical things such as applying for residence permit. Furthermore you will get information about social and cultural activities during the semester. Please note that the Introduction Programme is mandatory for all exchange students.

ASB organises lots of activities during the semester - sometimes together with local students or sometimes exclusively for exchange students.

The City of Aarhus & Region

AarhusAarhus has a population of 300,000 and is centrally located in Denmark and Northern Europe. The city is close to a variety of natural environments, with beaches and forests to the North and South, a lake district with a rich animal and bird life to the West, and the Bay of Aarhus, to the East. The city hosts around 35,000 students of higher education, making Aarhus a young and vibrant city. Within the city are numerous cafes, bars, and restaurants, a flourishing jazz and rock scene, museums, Art Galleries, and the Aarhus Concert Hall. Denmark is an open and safe society where almost everyone speaks English.
