Course Information
The University has six faculties- Finance and Accounting, International Relations, Business Administration, Computer Science and Statistic, Economics and Public Administration and Management. And as such, it offers courses in Management, Tourism, Finance, Economics, Business Philosophy, Transition Economies, EU Economic Policy, Strategy, Sociology, Logistics, Information Systems, and International Trade among others.

Accommodation & the Cost of Living
Accommodation
Exchange students live in a dormitory in the Jarov district of Prague, which is 15-20 minutes from the University of Economics by direct tram. All exchange students share a double room with another student due to a shortage of dormitory space. Single rooms are not available. You can request a specific roommate before you arrive, or one will be assigned to you. Each room comes equipped with two beds, a study area, a kitchenette with a small fridge and hot plate, and a full bathroom with shower. Each room also has bed linen: sheets, comforters and pillows. A washing machine is available and there are also student lounge areas and TV rooms in the dorms.

The University
The University of Economics, Prague has six faculties - five in Prague and one in Jindřichův Hradec in South Bohemia. These include: the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, the Faculty of International Relations, the Faculty of Business Administration, the Faculty of Statistics and Informatics and the Faculty of Economics and Public Administration. The faculty based in Jindřichův Hradec is specialized in management.
The City of Prague & Region
Situated in the heart of Europe, Prague and the Czech Republic are part of a region rich in history and culture that links both East and West geographically and culturally. Hundreds of castles and chateaux and numerous historical sites serve as testament to the dramatic history of the area. Prague, the capital, is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. It is an important cultural and economic centre, and the geographic position affords easy access to major European cities such as Berlin, Vienna and Budapest. It is also one of the oldest capitals in Europe, and for several centuries it was the primary residence of kings ruling the region. The two most famous landmarks are Prague castle and the Charles Bridge.
Prague has grown up over many centuries from a small Slavonic settlement into a magnificent city where all architectural styles and period changes are reflected in its stone face. Unique romanesque, gothic, renaissance, baroque and neo-classical buildings and complete town quarters have remained undisturbed by modern constructions. As a cultural centre Prague boasts numerous galleries and theatres. While retaining its unique atmosphere, Prague is becoming a busy international metropolis, and you can watch the city changing from day to day.
