- The Texas BBA
- Students applying to McCombs must take at least 2 business courses & may choose offerings from other colleges.
Semester Dates
- Academic Year: August - May
- Fall Term: August - December
- Winter Term: January - May

Course Load and Minimum Unit Requirements
- Four courses are recommended; two must be business courses.
- Students must enrol in at least 12 credit hours, which generally consist of four courses.
Accommodation & the Cost of Living
Accommodation
Students may choose to live in a private residence hall, a co-op, or apartment. Students may also sublease from a UT student going abroad that semester.
Estimated Cost of Living
When applying to the UT for admission, and for a visa at the US Consulate, you must provide financial documents that verify that you have funds available that meet or exceed the following amounts (2012-2013):
- $8,500 per semester
- $17,000 per year

The City of Austin and Region
Austin, the capital of the state of Texas, is a beautiful city with hills, valleys and lakes running through the city. It is a popular vacation spot with 2 lakes within the city limits and 5 more lakes to the northwest of Austin. These lakes make up the Highland Lakes chain and are very popular for water activities such as boating, swimming, water skiing, etc. The mild winter climate attracts many visitors from the northern states in the winter.
