Course Information
Suitable to students wishing to take 100 to 300 Otago equivalent papers on exchange.
Academic faculties open to exchange students
Restricted courses
- Exchange is not open to MBA, Master of Financial Economics, Bachelor of Education (BEd) or Law.
- Courses in Visual Studies and Drama are generally not available.
- Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry courses with a laboratory component are extremely limited.
- Commerce courses (MGT) are not available to exchange students at the St. George campus.
Course numbering system
Course "weight" is indicated by the first letter character after the numbers in each course code, and it will be either Y or H:
- Y = a full course, for which one credit (1.0) is given, such as ANT100Y1
- H = a half-course, for which one-half credit (0.5) is given, such as HIS332H1
Short Term Exchanges
This option is not available at the University of Toronto.

- Fall Term: September - December
- Winter Term: January - May
Course Load and Minimum Unit Requirements
Undergraduate:
- The minimum work load to be considered a "full-time student" is three courses
- The maximum permitted work load is five courses per academic term.

On and off-campus accommodation available. The University of Toronto cannot guarantee accommodation, but we do currently expect to be able to offer some type of housing to all exchange students who request it.

The City of Toronto and Region
