Lynne M. Baab is the Jack Somerville Lecturer in Pastoral Theology. She is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and served in two congregations in Seattle, Washington, USA as associate pastor and parish associate.
She is the author of several books on aspects of congregational life and congregational leadership and on Christian spiritual disciplines. She has also written web-based adult education materials, several Bible study guides, and numerous magazine articles on congregational life and Christian spirituality.
In addition to her research and teaching at the University of Otago, Lynne serves as adjunct tutor at the Knox Centre for Ministry and Leadership. She has conducted research on Presbyterian elders for the Synod of Otago and Southland, and she frequently speaks, preaches and conducts seminars for congregations and presbyteries.

Current Research
My current research centres in two areas. I have been looking into the increasing role of the visual arts in congregations and I also continue to build on my PhD research on congregational websites. This stream of research focuses on congregational life and relationships as they intersect with the online world.
