Chemistry - Structure and Bonding
The aim of this paper is to provide students with background knowledge and skills to help equip students to study Chemistry at undergraduate university level.
Focus areas for this paper include:
- The nature of matter and the interactions between particles.
- Organic molecules and their importance in biological systems.
- A series of case studies looking at new advances in Chemistry and links to everyday lives.
Case study topics may include some from the following list: dietary fats, drugs for diabetes, ulcers, solutions in medicine, hydrogen bonding in DNA, ozone, acid rain, radioactive isotopes etc.
