International English Examinations
The University of Otago Language Centre is a registered test centre for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), Cambridge Mainsuite, Internet-Based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT) and Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) examinations. These examinations test English language proficiency and are widely recognised by many academic institutions and government bodies worldwide. Please check with the institution you are applying to that you are taking the most appropriate test. IELTS and TOEIC preparation classes are offered as part of the General English programme for students of an intermediate level or above. Preparation for Cambridge examinations is incorporated into our General English programme.
