What is TOEFL iBT - Internet-Based Test Of English as a Foreign Language?

For example, you might read a passage or listen to a lecture, and then write or speak about what you learned. Location of the TOEFL iBT test in Dunedin
The TOEFL iBT test is held at the University of Otago Language Centre, University Plaza Building One, 130 Anzac Avenue, Dunedin. You will be welcomed by a test administrator on arrival at the Language Centre.
Arriving from Out of Town
If you are flying to Dunedin to take the TOEFL iBT test, please make sure you allow plenty of time to get to the test centre. It takes aproximately 30 minutes by taxi or 45 minutes by airport shuttle to get from the airport to the University of Otago Language Centre. You can book your shuttle online at www.supershuttle.co.nz (approximately $25 one way), or catch a taxi at the airport (approximately NZ$60 one way).
If you have an 11:30am start time, the earliest you can finish your test is about 3:30pm. Please remember that candidates are checked into the test one at a time and it takes about 45 minutes to check in all candidates. If you are coming from out of town, the administrator will try to check you in first, so please arrive early.
If you are arriving by bus, it takes about 15 minutes to walk to the test centre. If you take a taxi, it is only a 5 minute ride by taxi.
Online Registration for TOEFL iBT
To register for the internet-based TOEFL test go to the TOEFL registration page. When you apply for TOEFL iBT, you must become a TOEFL site user, and fill in an online form. Once you become a TOEFL site user, you must remember your username and password for next time. It is much easier and faster to access the registration site once you create an account with TOEFL.

Available Places
The University of Otago Language Centre has ONLY 12 seats available for each TOEFL iBT test. Apply early to avoid disappointment.
Registration Information
The test fee for the internet-based TOEFL iBT test is US$225. You must pay by credit card online.
Important Identification Information on Test Day
Your identification will be checked before you are admitted. The name given when you registered must match the name on your passport.
You will receive an email confirmation letter from ETS TOEFL. This letter will contain more details about your test. Please remember that you MUST BRING YOUR PASSPORT to the test. If you do not bring your passport you will not be able to sit the test. No exceptions will be made.
