Craig manages Web Services and the University’s web environment. He is accountable for the strategic overview, management, development and design of the University's website.

Working collaboratively with managerial, academic and general staff across the University, Craig provides direction, consultation and advice about Otago’s web presence. He keeps on top of international research and trends to enhance and maintain the website.

Before Web Services

Before joining the University of Otago in September 2010, Craig directed Massey University’s web presence, where he developed strategy and policy, and implemented processes, frameworks and standards.

Prior to this he was Web Manager at University of Johannesburg, where he has also lectured, presented at conferences and published papers. Before entering the higher education sector, he worked for SAP-AG as SAPNet Developer, and owned and managed an internet café, Surfnet Cafe.

Craig holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Business Management, Economics and Informatics, a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Informatics, and certificates in project management.

He recently graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in Business and Administration and is now working towards completing a Master of Management.

Away from the office

Craig is an enthusiastic mountain biker and ready to explore the region’s trails, taking in some of the most scenic single tracks that lead to the summits before adrenalising on the downhills. Having played many competitive rounds of golf in years gone by, he is also a keen golfer and still enjoys a low scoring round on a sunny day.
