Maxime Rainville

Divisional Web Developer (Health Sciences) at Web Services

Maxime works specifically with the Division of Health Sciences and its departments and is responsible for migrating their websites into the CMS and maintaining their existing sites.

Before Web Services

Maxime holds a Masters in Project Management and Bachelor in Computer Science from the Université du Québec en Outaouais, Canada.

Maxime first started working for the University of Otago in April 2011 as a part-time Web Analyst for the Division of Sciences. At the same time, he was working for Turboweb, a small Dunedin based web development studio.

Prior to that, he was a developer for the Canadian Federal Government. He has also taken several freelance web design contracts over the years.

Away from the office

Maxime arrived in New Zealand from Canada after completing his Masters. He enjoys rollerblading around Dunedin. Teasing coworkers and friends in French is one of the great joys of life for him. Maxime plays ice hockey at the Dunedin Ice Stadium ... as any self-respecting Canadian would.

He can also provide upon request numerous quotes from the classic British sitcoms Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister, or from Quentin Tarantino's 1994 cult movie Pulp Fiction.
