Professor Kurt Krause responds to an opinion about industry's role in growing antibiotic resistance, in an interview with Kathryn Ryan on Radio NZ.

Karl Rotthier, president of DSM Sinochem Pharmaceuticals, says drug companies' poor practices are to blame and that a concerted global effort is needed to stem the tide of a "post-antibiotic era".

Professor Kurt Krause, head of the University of Otago  Biochemistry Department, and Director of the Webster Centre for Infectious Diseases, responds with his views, and a New Zealand perspective.
