William Levack, Rehabilitation Teaching and Research Unit

William is a physiotherapist who has worked in a variety of hospital and community settings, from intensive care through to slow stream residential rehabilitation. His clinical interests are diverse, but his research tends to focus on rehabilitation for people with neurological or chronic respiratory conditions. His PhD, which he completed in 2008, investigated the application of goal planning to the practice of clinical rehabilitation. In 2014, he authored and edited a textbook entitled: “Rehabilitation Goal Setting: Theory, Practice and Evidence” with colleague, Professor Richard Siegert. William is on the Executive Committee and chairs the Rehabilitation Review Committee for Cochrane Rehabilitation. William lives with his partner and three children, one dog, three cats, and two guinea pigs in the Wellington.

Williams teaches REHB 713 Goal Setting and the Therapeutic Relationship and REHB710 Clinical Rehabilitation
