We are pleased to announce that a new postgraduate Pacific health paper will be offered from the Wellington campus starting in semester two this year. The paper, GENA736 is based in the Department of Primary Health Care & General Practice and is distance-taught. It is suitable for health professionals from a range of disciplines, who are interested in interdisciplinary study and practice. The paper introduces the key theoretical components of Pacific health and navigates through key concepts of culture, diversity, models and frameworks. It focuses on the development of evidence-based interventions and innovative solutions that move beyond theoretical dialogue to practical applications to help achieve better health outcomes for Pacific people. The development of this paper is a milestone for Otago, as it represents the first postgraduate Pacific health paper offered by the University.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who advised, supported and encouraged us on this journey. For enrolment inquiries, please contact:
