Qualifications

Aviation Medicine is a broad subject and there is sufficient flexibility in the various papers offered to enable students to tailor a course to their own particular interests and academic needs.

There are three main streams of postgraduate teaching and research undertaken by the Occupational and Aviation Medicine Unit of the University of Otago, Wellington, namely Aviation Medicine, Occupational Medicine and Aeromedical Retrieval and Transport. For these three streams there are a suite of qualifications from a one year entry level Certificate to a two year Diploma and higher degrees. The occupational medicine programmes are run through the Middle East in collaboration with Harvard Medical School Dubai Center.
