SUMMARY:Bioethics Seminar: Contemporary challenges in dementia care
DESCRIPTION:Dementia is described as the greatest global challenge for health and social care in the 21st century. Given this, relatively little work has examined some of the everyday ethical dilemmas in dementia care. This presentation coincides with the July 2017 publication of a major international report by the Lancet Commission on Dementia Prevention, Intervention, and Care. In light of this report, Brent Hyslop, Older People's Health, Southern DHB, outlines contemporary challenges in dementia care, as a stimulus for further reflection.

LOCATION:Bioethics Seminar Room, Level one, 71 Frederick Street (entry on Frederick Street). Also video-linked Christchurch and Wellington Campus.
