DESCRIPTION:GSNZ Seminar Series: The making of the geological map of Te Riu-a-Māui/ZealandiaNick Mortimer, GNS Science, Dunedin and University of Otago In this illustrated talk, Nick will give an update on Zealandia research in the last five years. One of the main achievements is the completion of reconnaissance geological mapping of the entire Zealandia continent. Nick will explain how Zealandia's 4000-km-long granite backbone was tracked across the region, and give the backstory of the how&nbsp;GNS&rsquo;s two Zealandia posters were made.
