Education and Research for Social Change and Social Justice

E ngā iwi katoa, nau mai, haere mai!

We invite you to the 2024 Australian New Zealand Social Work and Welfare Education and Research (ANZSWWER) Symposium.

Held in Aotearoa New Zealand for the first time in 7 years, the symposium will be hosted by the University of Otago | Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka, in Dunedin from 19–20 November.

The symposium is designed to engage with contemporary issues affecting social work and human services, with a focus on research, education and practice. With streams focused on sustainability, indigenous knowledges, field education, the changing policy context, and creative/participatory approaches, keynotes, oral presentations, posters and panel discussions will critically engage in topics linked to social change and social justice.

Registration is open to everyone including people who are employed in the field of social work and human services, educators teaching into social work and allied degrees, field educators, and students.

For more information, please visit the symposium website.
