Ara Ake is New Zealand's National Energy Innovation Centre. Its purpose is to accelerate the demonstration, commercialisation and deployment of energy innovation to support Aotearoa New Zealand’s transition to a more sustainable, resilient, and equitable energy future. Ara Ake takes a ‘whole of energy systems’ approach, building New Zealand’s capability and global connectivity to achieve economic, social, cultural and environmental impact.
