The call for abstracts for the symposium will be released in late August 2024.

The Pacific Voices Postgraduate Symposium has been held annually since 2004 and has become a highly anticipated fixture on the University of Otago’s academic calendar. It is an integral part of the University’s Pacific Strategic Framework 2022-2030, supporting Goal 3: Encouraging Pacific Research Excellence.

The Symposium is run as a full-day programme of presentations delivered by Pacific postgraduate student researchers to an audience of their peers, supervisors, University staff, members of the Pacific Island community, and the general public. In 2024 we will hold the Pacific Voices Symposium XXI at the Hutton Theatre, Tūhura Otago Museum, a continuation of its unbroken run since inception.
