Dr Miranda Mirosa, senior lecturer at the Department of Food Science, spoke to Channel 39 News regarding 4th year University of Otago Food Science students hosting a food waste banquet.
Students were given an open project brief and came up with the idea that recipes could be found from food around, and often wasted, about the house. Veggie Boys, who sponsored the event, allowed students to go through their pig bins.
