Ag at Otago, in collaboration with the Future Food Network, hosted the first of a series of four seminars for undergraduate students on 9 May 2018 at the University of Otago this academic year.

Speakers were:

  • Dr Patrick Aldwell, Academic Director of the Kellogg Rural Leadership Programme and retired Dean of Commerce, Lincoln University
  • Emeritus Professor Frank Griffin, Director of Ag at Otago
  • Dr Belinda Cridge, Programme Director of Dept of Pharmacology and Toxicology and
  • Dr Sharl Liebergreen, Consultant at AbacusBio


The purpose of the programme was to provide tertiary students with networking and leadership skills; help them to build a professional network with key influencers before they graduate; help them discover the drivers for pursuing a particular pathway; and empower them to also bring solutions to the table around real life challenges.
