A kiwi-themed restaurant, a signed Highlanders’ jersey won by an ex-Otago women’s rugby player, and the rekindling of Otago connections were all part of the University’s alumni event in Toronto at Hemingway’s Restaurant on 1 November.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Harlene Hayne welcomed alumni and guests to the event and spoke about current developments at the University, and of some of the outstanding achievements the University, its staff and students had made. She also spoke of the planned events to celebrate the 150th anniversary and welcomed guests to come back to Otago to join in the celebrations.
The evening was a wonderful opportunity for alumni to share memories and stories of time spent at Otago and possibly make plans for a return – the Development and Alumni Office thanks all our guests for coming along.
